JL has been an art enthusiast since she was young. She began her leather-working journey in 1988 with a local dry cleaner known for working with leather products. There she learned the ins and outs of cleaning, repairing, and working with leather. That intimate understanding of the resilience and versatility of the leather medium evolved into JL’s passion for bringing leather designs to life.
Change is constant, notably in fashion. Over the years JL has visited art festivals all over the US, growing in her craft as she created original pieces for a myriad of clients. Her experiences have helped her find timeless designs that grow and adapt to the changing whims of fashion while maintaining a style that is uniquely her own.
From simple drawings and patterns to hand cutting, stitching, and sewing; leather-working is a laborious process. Yet in this endeavor, something wonderful is born. JL's designs are crafted with utility and fashion in mind, so you can feel empowered no matter what your day throws at you.
JL has dedicated herself to the quest of making the perfect bag. She finds joy in knowing her customers have quality, hand-crafted, forever pieces. Unlike fashion brands looking for repeat customers, she is committed to creating the bag that meets every need and lasts a lifetime.
